We (Katia Sand and Emma Chapman) met while studying English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, where we bonded over the literary greats and a love of finding exactly the right word.
We founded Your Editors as we wanted to share our passion and to help you reach your potential.
Katia Sand is a professional translator, copyeditor and proofreader.
She graduated from Edinburgh with a First Class MA, and has since worked on a wide variety of projects. Her experience ranges from books, whether about art or France’s hopes of hosting the Olympics, to PhD theses on subjects as diverse as psychology and IT methodology.
Emma Chapman is the award-nominated author of the critically acclaimed novels How To Be a Good Wife and The Last Photograph.
She completed an MA in Creative Writing under former Poet Laureate Andrew Motion at Royal Holloway, where she was taught to edit by the pros, and has since gone on to teach editing seminars herself.
We hand-pick our editors according to their fields of study and interest as well as their mastery of the language, so you can be sure your work is in knowledgeable hands. Many work in the publishing industry, are published writers, or earn their livings as copyeditors.
