Terms and Conditions

Your Editors promise to offer detailed, personalised feedback in line with the editing option you have chosen. Your edited work will be returned to you before the deadline agreed upon in advance, in return for the fee previously specified.

If you have any questions regarding which type of edit to choose, or the precise duration and cost of your edit, please contact Your Editors right away; we are happy to clarify any outstanding points.

Your Editors reserve the right to refuse a project if we feel our capabilities (whether with regard to time constraints or subject matter) are not suited to the work in question, or for any other reason.

Your Editors cannot be held responsible if academic work we have edited receives an undesirable grade. Nor will Your Editors accept any liability for the failure of a submission to a publisher or literary agency after clients have utilised our Fiction Editing or Agent Targeting services.

Copyright

All work sent to Your Editors will be treated in total confidence. The copyright of the work belongs to its original author, and Your Editors will not claim any compensation beyond the editing fee.

The copyright of any written report belongs to Your Editors; please ask permission before quoting any part of it in any public or academic document or correspondence.

Submission of Work

Your Editors ask that your work be submitted by e-mail in a Word document.

Your document will be edited in Track Changes and returned to you by e-mail unless you request a hard copy, in which case a small additional printing and postage fee will be charged, dependent on the weight of the printed document.

If you modify your document after having submitted it to Your Editors, please contact us immediately to discuss your options. If editing has already commenced, your invoice will take into account the part of the original document that has already been checked, plus the total word count of the amended document. Please be aware that this will also be likely to affect the deadline previously specified by Your Editors.

Payments and refunds

Your Editors accept payment by direct bank transfer. If your document is under 10 000 words, your balance will be invoiced to you at the same time as your edited work is returned to you, with a due date 30 days later.

If your document is over 10 000 words, Your Editors require 40% of your fee to be paid in advance. As soon as the deadline and other details have been agreed, you will be sent an invoice for the initial deposit. We will begin editing your work when the funds, or a confirmation of payment, have been received. Your remaining balance will be invoiced to you at the same time as your edited work is returned to you, with a due date 30 days later.

Refunds of the down payment can be processed until an editor has been assigned to your project, and your document has been sent to them. Thereafter, refunds will not be possible.

Feedback

We love hearing positive feedback from happy writers, and enjoy sharing it with the world on social media and elsewhere. In doing so, Your Editors use clients’ first names and note the service provided. Last names will be omitted from any such publication. If you prefer Your Editors not use your message, please let us know and your feedback will remain private.

While Your Editors hope you will be nothing but satisfied with our services, if, for any reason, you would like to make a complaint, please contact us via e-mail and we will do our very best to help you. Please submit any concerns within a month of receipt of your edits.
